Univar is looking for an energetic, goal-oriented and systematic Sales Manager, Nordics to lead the team ensuring continued growth of their Shell lubricant product sales and customer experience.

The products in your teams portfolio include premium lubricants from Shell, the world´s largest brand in this segment. Univar owns the exclusive license to sell Shell lubricants in the Nordics and North Europe. Our comprehensive and tailored services offer product end-users notable added value.
This job is located in Univar's Vantaa office in Finland.
Your role
In the role as Sales Manager, you will be acting as manager for our Nordic District Sales team of 5-6 account managers who are responsible for growing the business and the number of customers in the segment we call District Sales.
District sales includes several segments and the largest are Heavy Transport, General Industry and Fleets. It is a diverse segment with many different sub-segments.
You allocate about 80% of your time to lead your Nordic team, implementing a sustainable working culture, evaluating the overall client portfolio, increasing profitability, as well as supporting your team finding new customers and opportunities.
You will also have a managerial role regarding Finland and the local organisation, estimated to take about 20 % of the time.
Some of your key tasks:
- Actively work with and lead your team to ensure their pipelines are filled with business opportunities.
- Support your team members taking part in their major accounts visits, online and face-to-face.
- Ensure internal communication so that team and customers receive the service needed. For example, contact with technicians, purchasing, product managers, logistics department may be required.
- Ensure via team members that won agreements are implemented and that our customers order our products.
- Act as country head in our matrix organisation with issues related to local Finnish administrative things such as legal, admin and payroll.
- Reporting to our Business Director in Malmö.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, you should have relevant work experience within B2B sales lead and a proven track record of successful, modern sales development with the use of KPIs. We also expect you to have experience in utilizing modern CRM. You believe in the power of human encounters and set aside approximately 50 travel days per year for team member and client visits. You present strong leadership skills and have the means to implement changes to an existing working culture.
You will receive a solid introduction to our products and business. However, what you need to bring with you are the right personal qualities.
To succeed in this role, you need to be highly ambitious, goal-oriented and have a high energy level. You must take responsibility for your business and strive to get results. You can create good relationships and have a systematic approach. You are also creative in finding business opportunities and can motivate your team mates.
You are fluent in Finnish and English.
