Key Account Manager – Univar Solutions

Are you passionate about sales and building relationships? We are looking for you, who wants to increase Univar’s sales of food ingredients in Finland and ensure our growth with both existing and new customers. In this role, you will have a lot of responsibility while benefiting from the dedicated support of both the local and international organizations. The products in your portfolio include enzymes, starch, flavors and other ingredients used in food production.
Key Account Manager
In this role you will be responsible for growing the business and the number of customers in the food industry in Finland and to support our sub-distributor in the Baltics.
Through customer analysis, you are responsible for the planning and executing of your district’s growth.
You distribute your time between managing existing customers, increasing their competitiveness, as well as finding new customers and opportunities.
Key tasks:
- Managing your pipeline proactively to make sure it is filled with business opportunities.
- Planning and booking visits online and face-to-face with customers based on your set customer plans.
- Conducting internal communication so that customers receive the service needed. For example, frequent contact with food technicians, product managers and the purchasing and logistics departments may be required.
- Implementing won agreements and ensuring that our customers call off our products.
- Actively visiting your customers. The job requires about 45 travel days per year, depending on your location and way of working.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, you should have relevant work experience within B2B sales and a proven track record of successful, modern sales development. We also expect you to have experience, or a relevant education, in the food industry to understand our customers' needs. Having existing networks among the types of companies we are aiming at is a definite advantage.
You will receive a solid introduction to our products and business. However, what you need to bring with you are the right personal qualities.
To succeed in this role, you need to be highly ambitious, goal-oriented and have a high energy level. You must take responsibility for your business and strive to get results. You can create good relationships and are systematic in your approach. You converse fluently in both Finnish and English.
